Microsoft Lumia 550 features a 4.7-inch LCD display, with the resolution of HD 720 x 1280. The Snapdragon 210 chipset is under the hood, with a quad-core 1.1GHz CPU and 1 GB RAM, along with 8GB of expandable internal storage. A 5 MP camera is found on the back, and a 2 MP front-facing shooter handles selfies and video chats. 4G LTE connectivity is also supported by the Microsoft Lumia 550.

The Launch:

After the successful launch in Europe last week, now Microsoft Lumia have stepped in India with the price of Rs. 9,399. On Friday, the company confirmed that the Microsoft Lumia 550 will be going on sale in India on Wednesday in Glossy White and Matte Black variants.The Microsoft Lumia 550 is the Microsoft’s cheapest smartphone running Windows 10 Mobile.
The company has confirmed that the Lumia 550, unlike its high-end devices such as the Lumia 950 Dual SIM and Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM, will not support Windows 10 Continuum feature, which makes smartphones behave like computers with a desktop-style interface.
With OS 10 Mobile, the Lumia 550 packs feature such as the new Microsoft Edge browser, revamped Outlook mail, OneDrive, Microsoft Office, Cortana digital voice assistant, and Glance Screen, which lets users see notifications without fully unlocking the smartphone.
